The desktop app and browser interface connect to the same DBeater workspace.
Databases
Direct connections are supported for PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB and SQLite. Choose which schemas to include before connecting.
Excel files
Excel files on your computer or a network share can be brought into the analysis workspace. File structure and refresh needs are reviewed during the pilot.
REST and OData services
Service connections support API keys, bearer tokens, basic authentication and OAuth2 client credentials. Compatibility with custom systems is checked separately.
Working with DBeaver
Supported connection addresses can be imported from DBeaver. Its password vault is not read, so you enter the password yourself. Inspect a generated query in the results view for the correct connection. DBeaver is optional.

Discovery and monitoring account for interruptions and changes to your data.
Scheduled and event-triggered checks
Daily, weekly and monthly scans check metrics and active business rules. Where CDC or event notifications are supported, analysis can start sooner. Actual frequency and latency are validated on your infrastructure.
Discovery that picks up where it left off
Completed steps are saved. Temporary failures use controlled retries. A problem with one table doesn't stop discovery of the others. Persistent errors are reported clearly.
Maintenance within clear boundaries
The maintenance agent can restart permitted tasks or report a problem. It cannot change code, database structures or customer records.
When a table structure changes
Change Review assesses affected definitions, metrics, saved critical answers and policies. The result is shown as safe, needs attention or blocked. Discovery and validation can then be repeated.

This was a controlled acceptance study reported in the product guide. The record count is approximate. These are not customer results or an accuracy guarantee for every data source. Of 50 questions, 48 exactly matched the reference result. One received a partial answer, and one was declined with an explanation. Average response time was approximately 57 seconds.
What other environments have been tested?
The guide also reports separate synthetic acceptance studies for education, hospital operations and e-commerce. Public financial data was used to test ingestion and source preparation. Open-ended questions, predefined query plans and simulation results were evaluated separately.
